Jessica Baglow nominated for the Ian Charleson Awards

The wonderful JESSICA BAGLOW has been nominated for the Ian Charleson Awards for her performance as Marina in Pericles at Shakespeare's Globe. The Awards are run by the National Theatre and the Sunday Times and reward the best classical stage performances in Britain by actors under the age of 30. The winner will be announced at an event at the National Theatre on 24 June.

MELISSA ALLAN is about to head back on tour with the National Theatre of Scotland's production of Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour. Adapted from Alan Warner's novel The Sopranos, the show was a huge success at last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It opens at Brighton Theatre Royal on 18 May before touring, and will run at the National Theatre of Great Britain through August and September.

MAEVE O'SULLIVAN will be appearing in The Easter Rising and Thereafter at the Jermyn Street Theatre from 26 to 30 April. The show, timed to coincide with the centenary of the Easter Rising in Ireland, will be part drama, part revue, part session. Incorporating poems, songs and speeches by W.B. Yeats, Dominic Behan, James Mangan, Louis MacNeice, Walter Savage Landor, Roger Casement, Winston Churchill, Sean O'Casey and others, it reveals the contrasting takes of the Easter Rising, the War of Independence, the Civil War and their legacies for Britain and Ireland.

We are thrilled that CLAUDIA GRANT has been announced as part of the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which is arriving at the West End's Palace Theatre this summer. The new episode in the Harry Potter story joins Harry nineteen years on from the seventh book to find him with a wife and three children and a job at the Ministry of Magic. Previews begin on 7 June with the opening night on 30 July.

PEPTER LUNKUSE is now working on King Lear for Manchester Royal Exchange, Birmingham Rep and Talawa Theatre Company. Michael Buffong will direct her in the role of Cordelia while Don Warrington will take the title role. The show opens in Manchester on 6 April.

Maeve O'Sullivan in The Pitmen Painters at Oldham Coliseum

MAEVE O'SULLIVAN is now in rehearsals for The Pitmen Painters at Oldham Coliseum, her second show at the theatre following 2014's Close The Coalhouse Door which earned her a Best Newcomer nomination at the Manchester Theatre Awards. She will again be directed by Kevin Shaw in the production which runs from 5 to 27 February.

MAEVE O'SULLIVAN can be seen at the Project Arts Centre in Dublin this week reprising her role in Sunday's Child Theatre Company's play Overshadowed, which was first seen at the 2015 Dublin Fringe Festival. The play will also run at Theatre 503 from 11 to 16 January.

JESSICA BAGLOW is now in rehearsals for Pericles at Shakespeare's Globe which will play from 25 November until 22 April. Dominic Dromgoole will be directing her in the role of Marina. She will also be appearing in The Winter's Tale at Shakespeare's Globe from 4 February until 22 April, directed by Michael Longhurst.
